NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction Redefines Real-Time Rendering
NVIDIA's DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction technology introduces neural path tracing to deliver photorealistic graphics in real time.
NVIDIA has announced DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, the latest update to its deep learning super sampling technology. The release focuses on neural path tracing, using deep learning models to predict and generate missing light rays in complex 3D environments, drastically reducing hardware rendering overhead.
In demonstration videos, DLSS 4.5 achieved near-photorealistic visual quality on mid-tier GPUs, rendering light bounce, reflections, and shadow gradients with high accuracy. Game developers are already planning to integrate the technology into upcoming titles releasing in late 2026.
The breakthrough is also expected to benefit professional industries, including industrial design, architectural rendering, and virtual film production, where real-time feedback of accurate lighting saves hours of pre-rendering time.
